RV Steals & Deals

Rated #1 Among Colorado RV Dealers

Welcome to our website. We are very glad you are here. If this is your first visit, you will soon discover that RV Steals and Deals is a very different kind of recreational vehicle dealership. We have to be different. We are located several hours from both Denver and Colorado Springs, the two largest towns in the state and home to the largest RV dealers in Colorado. In truth, most Denver RV dealers carry a lot more inventory than we do. But despite having very formidable competition and some very substantial geographic challenges, we have managed to become one of the most successful RV dealers in the state. Read on and you will learn the secrets to our success.

Pop up trailers are very lightweight and therefore easy to tow. First off, the odds are very good that with the addition of a trailer hitch, you will be able to tow your new trailer with the existing family car, SUV, or pickup truck. That is not always the case with a travel trailer and a fifth wheel camper demands that you own a pickup and that pickup must have adequate towing capacity. The weight of larger travel trailers can also adversely influence steering and cause the combination of car and trailer to sway at highway speeds. This “sway” has been the cause of many terrible accidents. Hitch manufacturers have attempted to to mitigate or eliminate this problem by manufacturing anti-sway and equalizer hitches. For the most part, these types of hitches do an outstanding job of what they have been designed to do.

There are a lot of people who would honestly rather own a small travel trailer instead of large one. Why? There are lots of reasons. Small travel trailers are normally going to cost less than large ones all things being equal. Likewise, maintenance costs should be less too. Towing a lightweight travel trailer is going to be easier and safer than towing a larger trailer. Likewise, buying a small trailer may be the difference between being able to use your existing car or truck or having to buy a bigger one. But the truth is, many people want a small travel trailer because they just don’t want to camp big.

When looking at a hybrid travel trailer it looks just like any regular trailer or RV that has a hard sided body and roof … that is until you set it up and then it changes into something very unusual and no longer looks like your regular camping trailer. It still has the hard sided body and roof but there is a canvas projection that may come out of one or both ends. These pull out ends are what you would see on a pop up travel trailer. In these canvas projections, you will find sleeping space and it does not add any extra weight to the hybrid travel trailer. Normally the bottom of these sleeping areas is sheets of plywood with a mattress that is approximately twelve inches thick and will usually sleep two people.

Travel trailers have been around for just about as long as there has been a car or truck to tow one. The first real boom in their popularity came after WW II when all the troops came home and the economy started to really get going. Post reccession, we are once again seeing a surge in RV sales and the modern travel trailer is far more refined than those manufactured in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. What is very curiuos about this is that there is also a huge resurgance in the retro style campers. The teardrop camper has again become enourmously popular and there are now companies building the old retro "canned ham" style of travel trailers too. Of course, you can buy trailers with gourmet kitchens, LED lighting and 80 inch flat screen TVs if you prefer to go that route. So whatever your desires and financial limitations, you should be able to find a travel trailer that will suit your needs.

Over the past several decades, 5th wheels have become the RV of choice for the largest segment of the RV market. A fifth wheel is very safe and easy to tow and fifth wheels tend to be more spacious than other RVs because of the high ceilings that are a neccesary design feature. If you are just a weekender or occasional camper, you might want to look at small travel trailers, pop-up campers, or even a truck camper. However, if you are a full timer or you like to take extended camping trips, then a fifth wheel may very well be the best choice for you. Let’s examine the differences between the different types of RVs and see what's the best fit for you. We'll look at all the factors that have led to the tremendous popularity of the fifth wheel camper.

The park model, or destination RV, has some distinct advantages for couples or individuals that know they are likely to live in one spot for a long time. These trailers are more like homes than is a travel trailer. The ceilings tend to be higher making them a lot more spacious. From a square footage standpoint, destination travel trailers tend to be larger than standard travel trailers and fifth wheel trailers. They have a lot of slide outs and the square footage can top 2,000 square feet. They are also built heavier. Since these kinds of trailers are towed less frequently, weight is less of a concern. You'll see the heavier construction throughout a typical destination style RV. Likewise, you'll also see heavier furniture in most models. Most weight over 10,000 lbs so you will need a one ton pickup in order to tow a park model.

You Will Love What Makes Us Different

So what makes us different from the other forty or so Colorado RV dealers? Well, if you are here shopping for a new RV like a Forest River R-Pod, a Keystone Fuzion toy hauler, or a beautiful new Keystone Montana fifth wheel, you will find that our prices are very competitive. No, let's rephrase that. You’ll see that our pricing basically beats every other dealer in the southwestern United States in every category. If you've already been shopping the other dealers, then take a look at our prices. You will be pleasantly surprised. If you haven't shopped the other dealers yet, we invite you to do so. We are confident that you will end up wondering if our prices are legitimate. Rest assured that they are. Other dealers start with very bloated prices and force you to negotiate your way down to a better price.

They won’t give you a decent deal unless you fight for it. Otherwise, they will take as much of your hard earned money as they can. That's not a fun process, is it? Besides which, even if you are willing to fight that battle, you will almost never end up at a final price that will come close to the prices we offer. With that in mind, you will find that very seldom are we willing to negotiate prices. Why? Because we have already priced most of our fifth wheels, toy haulers, and travel trailers at the absolute lowest price at which we are willing to sell them. In most instances, we are giving you the best price you'll find anywhere and you don't have to go through painful negotiations. What’s not to like about that?

Great Toy Haulers at Unbeatable Prices

We are very fortunate to be carrying two very popular toy haulers from Keystone RV. The Keystone Fuzion has been one of the best selling fifth wheel toy haulers in America for many years. Keystone RV has put tremendous effort into keeping the Fuzion always on the cutting edge of technology and innovation. They have done so by staying abreast of the rapid changes in the world of off-road ATVs and UTVs. Every year you see advances in the Fuzion that accommodate the changes in off road vehicles and the demands of the off road enthusiasts.

For those who are a little more budget conscious, we also stock the Keystone Impact both in fifth wheel toy hauler models and as travel trailer toy haulers. The Impact travel trailer models have proven to be enormously popular. The other toy hauler in our lineup is the Forest River Sandstorm. The Sandstorm is just plain a lot of trailer for the money. It is full featured, well designed, and a great value.

Affordable Luxury in the Best Selling 5th Wheel

Because we are located in one of the country's most popular RV resort towns, we are perhaps best known for selling high end luxury 5th wheel trailers. We are very fortunate to be selling the brand that has been the number one best selling fifth wheel camper for more than ten years running, the Keystone Montana. Not only is the Montana fifth wheel one of the finest 5th wheels ever made, you can own one without breaking the bank. In fact, the hallmark of the Montana is value. It is the perfect balance of utility, functionality, luxury, spaciousness, and affordability. A strong argument can be made for the fact that no other RV (of any type) offers so much for so little. To put it another way, the Montana (and Montana High Country) allow you to have filet mignon on a hamburger budget.

Our Commitment To You

Our business has grown not only because we sell RVs at great prices, but more so because we are committed to customer satisfaction. No business can make every customer happy. We are human beings and we have on occasion made mistakes. Likewise, there are people who none of us could ever make happy. However, if you read our customer reviews, we've done a pretty fair job of keeping customer satisfaction a top priority. We would love the opportunity to show you the kind of service we strive to achieve with every customer. After all, there are reasons that many people believe that among all Colorado RV dealers, Holiday RV South is the best.

We look forward to hearing from you and thanks for stopping by.
